General Summary of Position / Purpose of Position |

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Scientist will lead selection and development of next generation AI/machine learning (ML) enabled Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for traffic systems operations and management / intelligent transportation system (ITS). Areas of focus include traffic data analysis, traffic flow theory, traffic signal operation/control, traffic network management, tolling and connected and automated vehicles (CAV). The successful candidate will apply analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data, IoT, and cloud technologies knowledge in creating the foundations for the next generation smart and cloud connected systems and services that will transform our multi-modal transportation system toward a more sustainable and safer environment.
