In our world today, technology changes almost by the minute, and the field of TIM is no different. We have realized advances in detection, verification, and incident response that were unheard of several years ago. In addition, social media has advanced and has become very beneficial in our TIM efforts.

The governors of four states told senators they need certainty about federal spending through a long-term replenishment of the Highway Trust Fund, and Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx urged lawmakers to take "dramatic" action to invest "substantially" more in infrastructure.

Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx called Wednesday for lawmakers to pass a multi-year infrastructure funding bill, saying the cycle of temporary extensions is killing states' willingness for road and transit projects.
It has been 10 years since Congress last passed a transportation funding bill of longer than two years.
Foxx said Wednesday during a Senate hearing that enough was enough.
This time last year, I was caught up in midst of Super Bowl frenzy. Not because my team was playing but because the Super Bowl was being held in New Jersey. I was very fortunate to be part of the team that planned for the traffic management around the stadium and other venues.
