Talking TIM: Emergency Responder Head Protection
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Traffic Incident Management Program invites you to register for the Talking TIM webinar on Wednesday, July 28, from 1:30 - 3:30 PM ET. Learn what head protection is better suited for responder safety, hear how the response to incidents involving electric vehicles differs from the typical response, and learn about two-way geo-targeted communications with travelers. Featured in this webinar are:
- Lieutenant Brady Robinette, Lubbock Fire and Rescue, Texas. Mr. Robinette will explain why Lubbock Fire Rescue built a machine to test various helmets. In addition, he will highlight features of the helmet now being distributed for use when responding to vehicle crashes.Responding to Incidents Involving Electric Vehicles, Ron Moore, RESQUE-1.
- Ron Moore, RESQUE-1, is one of the leading experts in extrication, automobile rescue, and TIM Responder training. He has led electric vehicle safety training across the United States and will highlight responder strategies with electric and hybrid vehicles needing assistance.
- John Farrell, Information Logistics, will highlight a system to accept, process and deliver geographically tagged information to travelers through various channels such as interactive voice response, web, email, hands-free, and eyes-free mobile app.
