Consumer Electronics Show Focuses on Latest Vehicle Technology

Self-driving and wearables are two of the biggest car tech trends at CES this year. Audi is having an autonomous prototype vehicle drive itself from Silicon Valley to Las Vegas, with several (likely bored) journalists behind the wheel. Mercedes-Benz is expected to show an updated version of its autonomous vehicle concept: a lounge-inspired vision of the self-driving car interior that's sure to stimulate thought and debate over how people can better leverage their time and attention once the machines take the wheel. Auto suppliers Delphi, NVIDIA and QNX are also showing how they're getting ready for self-driving future by providing hardware and, more importantly, software that can keep the car on track.
