Summary:

The National Operations Center of Excellence (NOCoE) has released a number of white papers and case studies on recruiting, retaining, and training the TSMO workforce.

One emphasis area identified by practitioners is the need to strengthen pipelines for recruiting and hiring both paraprofessional and professional TSMO practitioners. This emphasis area was identified during the 2022 workforce peer exchange and the 2021 workforce summit. 

This webinar will discuss TSMO Workforce challenges and recent successes from several state DOTs, discuss an upcoming paper that discusses establishing employment pipelines from the military into TSMO, and also share concepts on how non-traditional workers can support a variety of TSMO activities. This webinar will be geared towards both TSMO and human resources practitioners as well as all transportation professionals, so please share with your colleagues.

Attendees will also learn about specific workforce resources available from NOCoE, as well as other successful practices agencies are deploying to improve their workforce.
