Road Weather Spotlight: Mitigating and Managing Low Visibility Events

The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA’s) Office of Operations is collaborating with the National Operations Center of Excellence (NOCoE) to host a bimonthly webinar series on road weather management (RWM). These webinars, called the Road Weather Spotlight Series, align with the mission of the FHWA RWM Program to inform stakeholders and improve highway road weather operations.

Please join us on Wednesday, May 1, from 1 to 2 p.m. ET for the second installment, titled “Mitigating and Managing Low Visibility Events.” During this webinar, the featured speaker, Virginia Department of Transportation Associate Director for Safety, Operations, and Traffic Engineering Mike Fontaine, will discuss strategies and suggested practices for road safety during low-visibility events.
