National Traffic Incident Response Awareness Week, taking place this year from November 7 -13, 2021, will soon have a new name! This week is our Traffic Incident Management (TIM) Community’s opportunity to make a difference individually and jointly for roadway safety during traffic incidents by teaching each other and the motoring public about our common goal and responsibility for safe, quick clearance.
TIM professionals, State and local public information and communications officers, and response community leaders are invited to this 2nd planning webinar. During each planning webinars, the FHWA co-leads will conduct an all-state roll call, requesting responder communities in each State highlight their plans to commemorate the week. We kindly request highlight be limited to a minute or two. During this specific webinar:
- Hear from States that have enacted Governor’s Proclamations commemorating National Traffic Incident Response Awareness Week.
- Learn why a change in the name of NTIRAW is in the works.
- Share your State’s innovative strategies for public awareness and responder training for safety around roadway incidents with peer agencies.
Monthly planning webinars will take place on the second Wednesday of each month, please visit NOCoE Webinar Calender to register for future webinars.
