FHWA and AASHTO Announce Recipients of SHRP2 Education Connection

The U.S. Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) have announced that ten universities have been awarded funding through cooperative agreements under the second Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP2) Education Connection initiative. These cooperative agreements provide an opportunity to incorporate SHRP2 products into transportation coursework, bringing state-of-the-practice solutions into the classroom.

One or more SHRP2 products will be incorporated into curriculum, and representatives from these universities will present information on their progress at the 95th TRB Annual Meeting, January 10-14, 2016. The SHRP2 products will be spotlighted in engineering and transportation planning curricula, and will also be relevant to disciplines such as urban planning, economics, government, and human resources.
