An examination is being offered currently for the job title of Transportation Materials Technician 2. The examination announcement is attached. The closing date is August 16, 2016. This title requires four years of experience in chemical and/or physical testing, analysis, or inspection of construction or maintenance materials including independent performance of tests such as extraction gradation, slump and air content for cement and concrete cylinder tests. College training in natural sciences, construction technology, civil engineering or other related fields may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen semester hours equaling one-half year of experience to a maximum of two years for an Associate's degree.
