TRB will conduct a webinar on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 from 2:00PM to 3:30PM ET that will feature a report from the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP). The webinar will explore NCHRP Synthesis 470: Maintenance Quality Assurance Field Inspection Practices, which summarizes practices used by state transportation agencies to support maintenance investments.
Capabilities of Maintenance Quality Assurance (MQA) programs have evolved as data collection and analysis technology has improved and transportation agencies have become more customer focused. This webinar focuses on how states are developing MQA programs, and the benefits that they’re receiving from these programs.

The first 60 minutes of the webinar will be for presentations and the final 30 minutes will be reserved for audience questions. The Registered Continuing Education Program (RCEP) categorizes this webinar activity as relating to health, safety, and welfare including core technical.

- Understand the findings from the state survey and interviews, including the type of data collected, the methodology used to assess condition, and the processes in place to ensure the quality of the data
- Understand how field inspection data are used to report highway conditions, estimate budget needs, and establish targeted levels of service
