TMS Emerging Topics Series: Partnering with Universities for Traffic Management System Support

Start Date:

-

Summary:

This webinar will focus on Partnering with Universities for Traffic Management System Support.

The partnerships between or procuring services transportation agencies (i.e., state/local DOTs, traffic management systems (TMSs) or centers (TMCs)) and academia is a common practice with several benefits to all partners, yet the nature and role of these partnerships or opportunities is often overlooked and not well documented. This is specifically true for partnerships among TMSs and Universities. This webinar will be used to explore and document practices for TMS-University partnerships or procurement efforts in support of capturing the relevant services universities may be able to support (i.e., managing data, monitoring and reporting on performance, evaluating TMSs, assessing operational strategies, etc.).

This webinar is part of Traffic Management Center Pooled Fund Study project on providing periodic educational webinars to TMS Pooled Fund Study members.
