The Talking TIM webinar series brings to your desk the great and varied work happening on the ground and around the country in traffic incident management. Topics touch on issues of relevance for TIM executives, managers, operators, and responders. Be sure to tune in to each session for ideas, tools, and resources to support and advance safe and quick clearance of roadway incidents. The series is sponsored by the Federal Highway Administration in cooperation with the National Operations Center of Excellence.

In October, we'll hear from Dennis O'Neil of Ohio DOT on the Ohio "Roll Call" video and "Leave It" training and Erick McCallum of CG Environmental on a unique approach to HAZMAT cleanups.

Paul Jodoin – Welcome, Introductions and FHWA Update  

Paul is the TIM Program Manager in the FHWA Office of Operations with over 40 years of transportation experience between his state and Federal careers. 

James Austrich – National TIM Responder Training Program Update

James is the FHWA’s Responder Training Program Manager and a National champion for responder safety.  He will provide an update on the objective to train incident responders nationally.

Dennis O’Neil – Ohio “Roll Call” video and “Leave It” Training

Dennis is the Work Zone Traffic Control Engineer at the Ohio DOT. His responsibilities include management of various programs including Freeway Operations, Work Zones, Traffic Incident Management and the District Safety Review Team in the Cleveland area. Dennis has been employed with the Ohio Department of Transportation District 12 for 36 years.  He has worked in various departments including Construction, Test Lab and Highway Management. He is a registered Professional Engineer with the State of Ohio. 

          

Erick McCallum –Unique Approach to HAZMAT Cleanups

Erick McCallum is the founder and CEO of CG Environmental also known as the “Cleaning Guys”.  The company utilizes patented equipment to clean roadways very quickly and efficiently. The equipment can clean up to 800 ft² in a minute. The unit called the Annihilator cleans 8' wide 50' long in 30 seconds.  This unit will clean hydro carbons of all types. Several company Team members have emergency response backgrounds that enforces the priority of safe, quick clearance.
