SCMS Proof-of-Concept Interface Requirements for Connected Vehicle Deployments

Summary:

The Security Credential Management System Proof-of-Concept (SCMS PoC) is expected to provide security credential management services for USDOT ITS JPO Connected Vehicle Pilot deployment sites. The SCMS PoC is planned to be completed and become operational in the fall of 2016. The USDOT has released the initial version of the SCMS POC interface requirements, which describes how devices will interact with the system and receive security credential materials. Kevin Gay of NHTSA, Benedikt Brecht of Volkswagen, and Dean Therriault of General Motors will describe the interface requirements documentation and provide a high-level walkthrough specifically focusing on the planned enrollment and provisioning processes.
