NPMRDS Webinar #2

The National Operations Center of Excellence (NOCoE), FHWA and AASHTO are sponsoring a two-part webinar series related to the National Performance Management Research Data Set (NPMRDS). The focus of these webinars is how the NPMRDS can be used for long-term performance management rather than short-term operations. The first webinar occurred on April 7 and introduced attendees to the National Performance Management Research Dataset (NPMRDS) that FHWA has purchased from Here.

During the webinar, More...attendees learned how the NPMRDS is useful as a performance management tool ; how others are using the NPMRDS to support decision-making; discuss some “tricks of the trade” in using the NPMRDS. Part 2 of the webinar series will occur on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from 2:00pm to 3:30pm EASTERN. This webinar will provide attendees with examples of using the NPMRDS for calculating two different system performance measures: travel time reliability (no traffic volumes needed) and system delay (traffic volumes needed). The examples will include the calculation of these measures using the NPMRDS for both rural and urban areas.
