More than 400 transportation professionals from throughout Oregon and the Pacific Northwest are expected to participate in the 2016 Northwest Transportation Conference, March 15-17, at the Oregon State University Alumni Center. The theme of this year’s conference is “Transportation Tools You Can Use on the Job.”

Many sessions are being organized by the ITS Subcommittee of ITE Oregon and will feature numerous aspects of ITS technology.
A student poster competition will recognize outstanding transportation research by students of Northwest universities, offering cash prizes to the best presentations.
The Northwest Transportation Conference has been held approximately every two years since 1949. The conference has served as a forum for engineers, designers, builders, operators, planners, and other transportation officials. Other sponsors participating in the organization of the conference include Oregon State University, Portland State University, Oregon Department of Transportation, Benton County Public Works, Federal Highway Administration, and Institute of Transportation Engineers.
