AASHTO will hold its 2013 combined Standing Committee on Traffic Engineering and Standing Committee on Highway Traffic Safety meeting June 23-26, 2013, in conjunction with the NCUTCD meeting at the Holiday Inn by the Bay, Portland, Maine.
This will be an exciting meeting where both committees will have an opportunity to attend joint plenary sessions and to share pertinent information among the states and committee members. Both chairs will address the Monday plenary session. Also, SHRP2, TZD, Opportunities for coordinating research, and Performance Measures and Recent Fatality Trends are some of the proposed discussion topics for the plenary session. The committees will come together again on Wednesday morning to recap.
The committees will also hold their own separate breakout meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Among the planned activities for this meeting will be a reception on Sunday night as well as a summer social on Tuesday evening.
