Following gatherings in 2017 and 2018 in Washington, DC, French and US transportation officials met under AASHTO’s auspices at an exchange hosted by the Transportation Research Board at TRB’s Keck Center in Washington, DC on Thursday, January 23, 2020. This event continued the dialogue among key French and US officials on a range of matters addressing connected and automated vehicle research, policy, and operations taking place in the two countries.
The exchange offered an opportunity for both delegations to present their latest initiatives and then engage in a wide-ranging discussion about opportunities for knowledge transfer, application, and learning to support the broader outcomes of each nation's transportation strategies.
AASHTO offers special thanks to Ms Anne-Marie IDRAC, France's High Representative for the Development of Autonomous Vehicles, for leading the French delegation.
