Crashes vs. Congestion -- What's the Cost to Society?

Overview

This report is an expansion on a study completed in 2008 which examined the costs of crashes to society. The results of that study are then compared with the costs of congestion on a per person basis. Overall, the cost of crashes per person is much higher than the cost of congestion per person. 99 areas across the country were evaluated for this study, and the results for each of those areas are shown in the report, as well as a detailed explanation of how they came to their conclusion.
