MoDOT Evaluation of Freeway Motorist Assist

Overview

The goal of this research was to evaluate the St. Louis Motor Assist program and determine current benefits of the program and the goals for the program in the future.

The results of this research support the idea that this program provides a tremendous amount of safety benefits to St. Louis and the surrounding area by reducing secondary crashes, annual congestion cost, and faster incident response and clearance.
