Overview
The goal of this project was to create a strategic plan that could encourage improving all aspects of incident management, since there previously was no plan for an overall framework for a systematic, statewide, multi-agency effort to improve the management of highway incidents. This document summarizes the current best practices for highway incident management. Furthermore, the document contains action strategies which will help Kentucky move towards its goals of improved safety responders, highway workers, and motorists; reduced traffic delay; improved motorist awareness; and improved responder and highway worker preparedness.
