2026 World Cup Mobility Strategies: Travel Demand Management

Overview

This webinar, hosted jointly with the Association for Commuter Transportation, takes a close look at the mobility strategies for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with a focus on travel demand management.

Mobility planning and transportation operations are essential to holding a successful large-scale planned special event. This is true for both the attendees and organizers as well as for the local population whose mobility needs often remain unchanged over the course of the event. And, from now until 2028, the United States will be hosting three major international events: the FIFA Club World Cup this summer, the 2026 World Cup, and the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, CA.

Experts in TDM and mobility and operations share best practices and lessons learned for planned special events and how to safely and efficiently move people to enjoy some of the world's great spectacles.
