2017 Regional and Local TSMO Peer Exchange

Overview

On October 5th and 6th, 2017 the National Operations center of excellence hosted a regional/local TSMO peer exchange in Grapevine, TX. The goal of the peer exchange was to discuss the roles of regional and local agencies in transportation systems management & operations. You can view the proceedings of this peer exchange here. Representatives from the following agencies were on hand to participate:

  • AzTech (Phoenix metropolitan area)
  • Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC)
  • Mid-America Regional Council (MARC)
  • Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA)
  • Metro (Portland Metro Region MPO)
  • North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG)
  • North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA)

Specific topics included:

  • Capability Maturity Model
  • Strategic Planning and Financing TSMO
  • Regional and Interagency Cooperation
  • Performance Management

Attendees, representing six regions, each presented on specific experiences and best practices within each TSMO topic areas. Several documents, reports, and presentations were shared as part of this peer exchange that can be found in this page.
