NextGen Traffic Incident Management (TIM): Integrating Training, Technology, and Data into Arterial TIM Programs

NextGen TIM will help local and State agencies reduce secondary crashes, improve trip reliability, increase motorists’ awareness of active responders along their travel routes, and reduce exposure for on-scene responders. The NextGen TIM innovation is positioned to jump-start State and local engagement through the mix of EDC resources, an in-place FHWA TIM program, established relationships with associations that support local government entities, and State and local experts to serve as champions.
