2023 TRB Student Contest Winners
Last week, NOCoE hosted two student contest winners at the TRB Annual Meeting.

Myles Overall, University of Michigan (above left) and Jose Capa Salinas, Purdue University (above right) were chosen for demonstrating their understanding of TSMO and its ability to solve safety and mobility challenges.

The students attended a number of TSMO meetings, including the ITE TSMO Council above, where they were presented with NOCoE pins by Faisal Saleem, NOCoE Director and Catalina Echeverri, Gannett Fleming and ITE TSMO Council Chair. They also met with TSMO practitioners to discuss career pathways and attended knowledge sessions to learn more about TSMO and new transportation technologies.

NOCoE's student activities include the TRB Student Contest and the Transportation Technology Tournament, which aim to expand the understanding of TSMO strategies, define career pathways, and build knowledge skills and abilities.
