The Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) is pleased to invite you to submit an abstract in support of our upcoming 2016 Annual Meeting & Exhibit, August 14–17, in Anaheim, CA, USA. The ITE Annual Meeting & Exhibit is the showcase event for both our organization and the profession, bringing together transportation professionals from around the world to discuss the critical topics of the today as well as to enjoy peer-to-peer conversation and networking. It is a platform for transportation experts, consultants, and others to share their expertise, experiences, and insights on topics with the transportation industry.
This year’s theme—“Expanding Our Horizons—Change. Challenge. Opportunity”—represents the transformation our profession is facing. This meeting will bring national and international perspectives while tapping into the wealth of transportation innovation present in California. The ITE 2016 Annual Meet- ing seeks to accomplish three objectives:
- Offer a glimpse of the future—what needs to be on one’s radar or what may be closer than one thinks to becoming a reality—and what attendees need to know to prepare today
- Provide the opportunity to acquire new skills and tools and refresh existing ones. Attendees will leave with a toolkit full of new items that can help them do their jobs, keeping transportation moving.
- Gain access to the critical capabilities (e.g., communicating effectively, building a professional brand) required to develop into a leader in the transportation profession.
Ultimately, ITE’s goal is to have attendees leave Anaheim feeling energized and renewed in order to successfully achieve their current responsibilities, meet their most daunting challenges, and seek out new endeavors. Come prepared to be immersed in 4 days of transportation know-how!
