USDOT Releases New Fact Sheets on the Connected Vehicle Pilots

The USDOT has released new fact sheets on each of the three pilot deployment sites—New York City; Wyoming; and Tampa, Florida. As part of the USDOT’s Connected Vehicle Pilot Deployment Program, these sites are designing, building, and testing the nation’s most complex and extensive deployment of integrated wireless in-vehicle, mobile device, and roadside technologies.

Georgia DOT Announcnes Nation's First Statewide Freeway Patrol Service with Launch of "CHAMP"

Starting today, motorists in Georgia will begin to experience the benefits of a new statewide program that enhances highway safety and provides them with roadside assistance when they need it. The
Georgia Department of Transportation’s new Coordinated Highway Assistance & Maintenance Program (CHAMP) begins its phased launch today in Northeast Georgia with plans to roll out the service to five other districts in the state by this May. Read More

North Carolina DOT Works to Integrate Drones in Emergency Response

The N.C. Department of Transportation is exploring how to best implement unmanned aircraft systems, or drones, into future disaster relief efforts.
