TRB Annual Meeting 2017 Preview: Evolving the Next Generation of TSMO Research

Start Date:

-

Summary:

This year’s TRB Annual Meeting follows on last year’s focus on activities in a post-SHRP2 world, and continues to emphasis around programs that support a Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO) culture both within State DOT’s and the broader transportation community. This year’s theme of “Transportation Innovation: Leading the Way in an Era of Rapid Change” lays the groundwork for discussion around new research programs, many of which include TSMO elements, considering the ongoing development of FAST Act policies, and continued building out of program areas from the previous MAP-21 legislation. This webinar will highlight critical activities underway during this transition period and set the stage for aligning and engaging the TSMO community in advance of, and during, the 2017 TRB Annual Meeting. These critical activities include those of the National Operations Center of Excellence, SHRP2 Reliability Product Implementation, and next steps in post-SHRP2 TSMO research planning. The webinar will also feature 2017 TRB Annual Meeting highlights of TSMO sessions, workshops, committee meetings, and events.
